In November 2025, the idea for People First was born with a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed in a digital world. Since then, we have been dedicated to finding meaningful ways to educate and empower communities with limited access to technology.
Today, technology plays a role in nearly every part of our lives. From applying for jobs and managing finances to accessing healthcare and government services, more and more opportunities exist online. Without the right tools and digital skills, these everyday tasks can become overwhelming or even out of reach.
At People First, we are committed to closing that gap by providing technology, education, and support that helps people confidently navigate the digital world.
During our 90-minute sessions, learners gain confidence through hands-on activities designed to build real-world digital skills. From sending emails with attachments to learning how to recognize and block digital threats, every lesson provides practical experience they can use in everyday life. We believe the best way to learn technology is by using it. `
At the end of each program, every computer is securely wiped to protect participant privacy before being gifted to the learner. Our goal is to help participants continue learning long after the program ends. For youth participants, parental controls are set up before devices are distributed, and we guide parents through managing those settings to support safe and responsible technology use.
Our programs go beyond teaching basic computer skills. Participants also learn project management, basic troubleshooting, and simple ways to keep their computers organized and running smoothly. These practical skills help learners stay productive, solve common technology problems with confidence, and build habits they can use at school, at work, and in everyday life.
